IS YOUR LIFT SHAFT FIRE SAFE?
Liftshaft Fire Professionals
UK FireStop Inspections Ltd are the only UK company that specialise in the inspection and certification of passive fire protection systems within your working lift shafts.
Formed in 2016 our lead engineers have an extensive level of experience in both the architectural, specialist lift and fire stopping industries....
The first step in the process is to agree a convenient time for your lift to be taken out of service (note: attendance by your lift service contract provider is not required). We understand that your lift is essential to the buildings occupants and users so that is why all UKFSI inspections can be arranged at a time to suit. Once our inspection has been carried out, your lift will be returned to service.
Following our inspection we will supply a thorough and detailed compartmentation report which will illustrate the current level of passive fire protection within your lift shaft. The report will be supplied in both digital and hard copy (to be stored safely on site with other relevant building fire safety paperwork in a Premises Information Box (PIB) - fulfilling your legal requirements under the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005 and the new Fire Safety Legislation 2021.
If during our inspection process we find any areas of concern then the dutyholder will be immediately notified. UKFSI have an In-house team for smaller works and both FIRAS and BM TRADA certified partners for works that may require specialist installation. We also work alongside an LEIA Registered Lift Company for any lift associated issues.
Once our inspection has been completed, and all passive fire protection has been assessed, UKFSI then provides certification for each fire stop within the lift shaft or lift motor room.
Each certification is uniquely referenced and its location recorded. The details of which are then supplied within a full compartmentation report to be made available on site for both the Fire Risk Assessor and local Fire and Rescue Service Inspectors
